The American Legion Auxiliary gathered for its Christmas dinner at the Hotel Gordon with 22 members and one guest. After a brief meeting gifts were exchanged and a $50 donation was made to the Salvation Army Christmas basket fund.
The senior youth group of the Church of Christ presents a three act play When Christ Was Born on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the church. The cast includes announcer Lewis Grubbs and many named parishioners with Don Seevers directing.
Hollister Elementary in Glouster presented a multi grade Christmas program featuring first grader Mary and Joseph roles, Nativity scenes, and a chorus. Students from second through sixth grade performed skits and songs, with special portions by the special education class and Mrs. Buck’s fifth grade. The program closed with a choral finale singing The Best Time of Year.
Chauncey Christian Church will host a Christmas Eve service at 10 p.m. featuring a White Gift offering. Attendees are asked to wrap a canned food item in white paper and present it during worship to aid families in need on Christmas Day.
