A violent mob attacked a courthouse in ILLE Tennessee with a National Guard response. A 22 year old suspect in an assault was killed during the melee and seven people were wounded as mobs torched property and clashed with troops.

Wolfe and other officials addressed the Athens County Association of Township Trustees and Clerks in the Security Park Building, outlining a three part liquid fuel tax to fund state highways, local streets, and township needs. Six officers from Parkersburg raided Blennerhassett Island on Tuesday freeing the site from a moonshine operation. They destroyed a still and barrels of mash as moonshiners fled across the Ohio River after a shotgun salute aimed at the raiding boat.

Murray City resident Mrs. Siyeyes, a 21-year-old woman, died today. Authorities reported no further details available at this time.

T. W. Craig was elected president of the Athens Chamber of Commerce for 1985 at the annual meeting during the weekly luncheon. BR. M. Covert was named vice president and a list of directors includes F. H. Reckler G. K. Bush F. F. Sells Harry Beckley and FE. R. Custer. T. M Wolfe will serve on the board as an ex officio member.
Five masked men robbed the Transportation and Supplies Building of the Philadelphia Electric Company as employees were paid off and fled with a cash pouch estimated between 40,000 and 48,900. No injuries reported and police调查 ongoing.

In Cincinnati a Christmas party ends in death as FE L Dobson age 20 and Marie Jannito age 23 are found dead in Dobson’s car after a quarrel. Xenia Shoe Company will begin operations in an abandoned tobacco stemmery around Feb. 3. Affiliate of H. C.
