Christmas program at Bates Church slated for Dec 22
A Bates Church Christmas program titled Christmas at Skeeters Corners with recitations songs and a short play will be presented Sunday December 22 at 7 30 p m at Richland Avenue Church. A tree and gifts will be available and the public is invited. The Richland Avenue Society of the Methodist Church will meet Friday at 7 30 p m with Carrie Atkinson Gladys Gaver and others in charge of devotional. The troupe includes Senior High School girls such as Annabelle White Martha Caskey and more. A suggested lunch recipe features toasted bread with pimento cheese bacon olives lettuce and mayonnaise, hot broth toasted sandwich milk and baked apple with cream.

Albany Club celebrates Christmas at JanOD Cabin
Albany Community Garden Club members gathered at the JanOD cabin for a Friday noon Christmas event. Twenty members attended as Mrs. Paul Barnes presided over a session sponsoring a community Christmas and organizing street decorations under Mrs. Harley Ayler. Candles, hemlock, poems, antiques history, and Music Box tunes filled the day with gifts of plants and bulbs exchanged. The M and H Circle Christmas party was postponed.
