Police hunt for two gunmen who killed Roger Touhy once a feared prohibition era gang leader. The 61 year old died after six shotgun blasts near his sister 125 North Lotus Street Austin district. Walter Miller 62 a retired police sergeant was wounded. Factor the plaintiff in a libel suit against Touhy was in Chicago this week and questioned later. Touhy died on the operating table at St Anne s Hospital.

OU Student's Mother Dies In Accident

Mrs. Bertha Vermillion aged 53 of Athens Route 1 escaped injury when her car left Route 50 west of Athens and went over an embankment after a passing semi driven by Donald Cleaver aged 26 of Morefield West Virginia. State patrolmen cited a defective steering mechanism as the cause of the loss of control and collision with the passing vehicle before the car struck a guardrail and plunged over the embankment.

Three Men Bring Drunken Woman to Officials After Death
The body of Mrs. Hattie Bowman 60 of New Miami was brought to Butler County jail by three men who said she died in their car. Coroner Dr. Garret Boone ruled acute alcoholism as the cause.
