Thomas T. Plummer, 78, dies at Holzer Hospital from injuries suffered at a fight at the Steel home Saturday night. Charles Lewin Baird, age 68, longtime Nelsonville businessman, died this morning at the Riverside home after a prolonged heart illness. Born June 28, 1868 in McArthur Ohio, he moved with his family after his father's death. his mother Julia Robbins Baird died in 1931.

I. C. Gaston of Athens was fined $200 and had driving rights suspended for one year after arraignment before Magistrate C. H. Porter. Gaston, arrested at The Plains Road and Route 31 intersection about 2 a.m. Sunday by State Highway Patrolman T. R. Sprague, faced a second offense while under prior suspension.
