Athens high school and interchurch choirs join Masquers' Club for a 2:30 pm Sunday performance in the high school auditorium. The program features a Christ tableau directed by Mrs. Christopher Lane, carol selections led by Dr. Neal Glenn, and multiple soloists, with Judge John F. Newcomb giving greetings. Mrs. A. N. Johnson was chosen president of the Esther Class of First Christian Church during the Christmas gathering held Monday evening. Mrs. D. A. Bardin presided. devotions and program led by Mrs. T. L. Swan featured a Christmas play. A trio and a piano duet performed as others shared carols and a Christmas story. An offering benefited the Cleveland Christian Home, with a refreshment committee listed.

Mrs. Robert Jones Jr hosted the Amere Needle Club Christmas party at 26 Church Street. A Christmas story was read by Mrs. Margaret Shrout, with carols sung and Mrs. Carrie Harvey on piano. Guests included Mrs. Carl Freisinger, Lima, Mrs. Hunter Hope, Paula Cotton, and Bobbie Norris. A Christmas fund for needy children was collected. The house featured greenery and candles and refreshments were served from decorated trays.
