Local Legion Elects New Post Commander
Glenford Dugan Post 229 of the American Legion elected Wilbur D. Mender to complete the unexpired term of Donald Brady who resigned. The meeting changed regular sessions to the first and third Mondays and set a December 19 gathering at the Legion Building. Members were reminded to renew 1967 dues as cards are issued by Floyd Brown. The post will host the District Eight Winter Conference January 15 and the Auxiliary Unit will prepare luncheon.

Parties Set At Hospital For Christmas Festivities
Nelsonville reports two Christmas parties at the Southeast Ohio Tuberculosis Hospital. Employees dine and dance Saturday at 7 p.m. in the hospital auditorium led by committee chairman Tom Sheppard. Patients attend at 5 p.m. with plans overseen by Kathy Lagraves.
