A Point Pleasant man, Paul McDaniel, 29, was treated at Huntington Veterans Hospital after a self inflicted shotgun wound at his parents' home last night. Sheriff Charles A. Roberts investigated the incident saying McDaniel, a World War II veteran, left his parents' house about 10 p m and was shot in the left shoulder. His motive was not disclosed and his condition was not known this morning.
Mary Ann Shaw a 16 year old Columbus girl died from burns suffered three months earlier despite 10 skin grafts donated by Ohio Penitentiary inmates. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs John Shaw and was burned on September 17.
