County Welfare Testimony Called For Divorce Probe
The county welfare director and six caseworkers face subpoenas to testify next Tuesday morning before the Common Pleas Court commission investigating divorce filings in Athens County. Testimony includes Phyllis Ross Frances Packard Irene Chesser and Jacquelyn McQuillen. A further subpoena targets Mrs Eric Thompson. The panel has already heard from 16 mothers involved in divorce actions and was formed to check welfare referrals.
