Stenog In Window Sees Odd Things In Town Scene
A Pom eroy young woman stenographer sits in an upper window and comments on street life. She notes a fat man with a small dog, politicians nose rubbing, a haughty woman, a dinner pail man, an industrious constable, a bare headed banker, whispers in a doorway, a coal wagon and ambulance, and a colored man calmly reflecting as taxes are paid on Court House steps. The busy street blurred by youth’s imagination sparks curiosity about why people hurry.
