General Arnold Expands On War Efforts And Bond Drive
Gen Arnold described a day with over 1600 planes in flight to a war theater and lauded the Army Air Force and RAF for saving troops at Salerno. He urged gathering planes from all centers, warned Italy’s invasion would be easier with more planes, cited bomber losses in raids, and called for a massive War Bond push to defeat Hitler and Japan.
