Athens Bindery Workers Ratify New LITTON System Contract
Members of the Athens McBee Plant Local 181 unanimously ratified a contract with LITTON Automated Business Systems. The pact covers 63 workers retroactive to Nov 15, 1974, and expires Nov 14, 1975. Wage and fringe benefits rise about 52 percent with a 25 percent pension increase after one month and $50,000 major medical coverage. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve become paid holidays. Women may bid on available jobs. The agreement follows 15 negotiating sessions and is the first contract for McBee Plant unions, with talks ongoing with four other locals.
