Work Stoppage on Sewer Explained by Officials
POMEROY The suspension of work on the storm sewer draws comments from Mayor Sidney Spencer and Councilman E F Robinson. They note the village exhausted its 100000 allotment, weather delays raised costs, and the project is 90 percent done with an additional 10900 needed. They chose to suspend to avoid spring delays, store equipment, and seek revenue from winter parking meters to complete the system at about 75000 less than the lowest bid.
