Fumigation Advised To Rid Grain Of Weevil
Ohio State University entomologist I Fl Parks says moving grain helps deter the black rice weevil but the best method is fumigation using three pounds of carbon bisulphide per 100 bushels. Place in shallow pans atop the grain, cover with tarpaulin for 36 hours, and note the chemical is highly inflammable though it does not injure grain.
