Southeast Ohio Emergency Medical Service reshuffles HQ roles to coordinate the SEOEMS project. William Taylor becomes program activities chief. John Peters named training director. Day Cross moves to director of public information and community relations. Nancy Raming assumes field director of health education duties. Since last March the service opened 13 EMS stations and logged over 2,750 ambulance runs. The training sub-system has trained 383 residents as emergency medical technicians.

Athens Police Chief Ted Jones and Assistant Director William Kane will attend a December three day criminal justice and drug abuse prevention planning seminar in Columbus sponsored by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the Ohio Bureau of Drug Abuse. The program will cover alternatives within the justice system for treating drug abusers.
