Rush L. Limbaugh special commissioner ruled the infant is the child of Anna Ware an unwed servant girl and not of Mrs Nellie Tipton Muench. He recommended returning the baby to Miss Ware. The Court of Appeals will rule later. Ware testified the baby was born Aug 17 in St Louis and held by the Muenchs who claimed it as their own.
MT VERNON Ohio. A Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train killed two Knox County Home inmates, Charles Simpson age 55 and Bert Hoar age 84, near the County Infirmary five miles south. Train crew said one man fell between the tracks and the other was struck while trying to lift him.
City to repave East Union Street Hill within a week to ten days after sewer work at the hilltop. Service Director C W Gross said the sewer project must finish first before the blockaded street section can be repaved.
One of three gunmen who held up Franklin National Bank at noon was killed by Marshal BL B Graham who was wounded in the exchange. The two remaining bandits escaped after abducting four women motorists.
