Frank L. Moore aged 72 died Sunday in Athens after a long period of invalidism. Funeral services are set for 4 PM Tuesday at Dowler Funeral Home with burial at West Union Street Cemetery. He was born July 4, 1860 in Middleport and spent most of his life in Athens. Surviving are his brother David H. Moore of Washington DC. A late sister Elia Moore once served on the Ohio University faculty. Rev. C M Coulter will lead the service at First M E Church Athens.

Six members of a single family were scorched in a Fallsburg home when kerosene used to start a fire exploded. Mrs Matilda Lee 77 mother of Mrs Shoultz and her two year old granddaughter were killed. The couple Mr and Mrs Shoultz and their two sons Gail six and Wayne seven were injured and taken to City Hospital. The blast occurred as the father tried to light a stove flames swept the house and the parents suffered burns while trying to rescue the children.
