Meigs County to undergo 1960 real estate reappraisal
Meigs County will be reappraised for 1960 as the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals has not yet issued a formal order. County Auditor Gordon Caldwell expects orders after January and plans to hire a firm to conduct the two year project costing at least 45 000 dollars. Local subdivisions including school districts will share the expense. Taxpayers anticipate higher valuations and higher taxes due to recent school bond issues and local levies in Meigs County.
