India has built a 26 million rupee mill at Hoshangabad with British help to print 2 700 tons of bank notes annually. The notes use durable natural fibres, watermarks and aluminum threads to deter counterfeiting. By end of 1966 India held about 30 billion rupees in notes, with most output sent to the Reserve Bank of India's Nasik press.
Ronald Davis 32 of Gallipolis pleaded guilty before Gaia County Commit Pleas Court to two counts of passing bad checks. He admitted offenses on June 28 and August 1. Probation potential being studied. Checks passed in the Gallipolis area.
In Federal Hocking School District students enrolled for Tri-County Vocational School will report September 9, a week after peers at the high school due to a delayed completion of the vocational building.

Charles Herbert Scott of Long Bottom pleaded guilty in Meigs County Court to illegal possession and manufacture of untaxed alcohol. He was fined and placed on probation after state and federal agents arrested him at his home on Thursday with a search warrant. He was jailed in Meigs County jail. This marked the first alleged bootleg case in the county.
Middleport officials handled a 11:55 am medical call at 657 S Front St for Clifford Frazier 58 admitted to Veterans Memorial Hospital. A 12:43 pm lawn mower accident injured Ames Daniels causing leg cut. transported to the same hospital. A 2:35 pm fire at Imperial Electric Co site involving a tar pot. no damage.
