American Gas To Build Charleston Plant On Kanawha River
American Gas and Electric Co will start construction of a 1,050,000 kilowatt plant on the Kanawha River near Charleston. The plant will supply Ohio Power Co and connect via a high voltage line to the Philip Sporn Plant at Gra ham Station. The Kanawha-Ohio line will carry 300,000 to 315,000 volts, the highest in the United States.
