Adjutant General Frank D. Henderson led a Washington request for 3,805,403 dollars in federal relief for Ohio for September. The retail drug code now during its fourth revision provides the right of contract under which retailers and manufacturers may agree on sales prices. It also stipulates a maximum discount of 21 percent from the manufacturer’s base price for trade marked merchandise.

Glouster residents pursue Federal public works funds to build a 50 foot high dam at the East Branch mouth near Burr Oak. The lake would span seven miles and 1400 acres, supplying domestic water, cheap industrial power, and flood prevention for the Sunday Creek Valley. Ohio Conservation Commissioner William H. Reinhar approves, with Senator LeFever aiding. A meeting at the High School Auditorium Thursday at 8 pm will detail the proposal and its industrial impact.

Bankers and loan association officials of the county will get further explanation of Home Owners Loan Association functions Thursday night when Thomas E. Dye, Columbus district manager, addresses the group and answers questions. E. H. Bardin sub district manager announces the meeting at 7 30 on the second floor of the Federal Building. Local offices of the loan association will be located there. All bankers in the county have been invited.

Lawrence Carlson, 21, Muskegon, missing after his 18-foot sailboat overturned in Lake Michigan. Companions Glenn Smith, 25, Muskegon, and Frank York, 21, Chicago, reached shore at Olden Dunes after five to six hours at sea. York required hospital care. Carlson and the other crewman were last seen fighting the rough water and cold night.

A county meeting of unorganized workers decided to hold a Thursday night gathering at 7 o clock in the city building to form a central labor union. Clerks truck drivers and other wage earners not in a union are invited to attend in hopes of organizing under the American Federation of Labor.
