Two Children Die In Athens County Illness
Two children have died and three other family members are ill at a farm near Hockingport in Athens County. Public health nurses were called yesterday. Earlier, a Coolville doctor diagnosed summer influenza in the two older children and the mother. The younger children show no signs yet.

League plans to codify law in 1929
Geneva, Aug 29. After four years of meticulous prep the League of Nations aims to begin codifying international law in 1929. Through progressive codification conferences the league will launch treaties on ripe subjects. John Gyura pled not guilty to assault and battery and was bound over to the grand jury under 500 dollars in the Justice of the Peace court of Carl Porter.
