Carbondale man killed in railroad crossing accident
Carbon dale August 28 Robert Doolittle 40 of Carbondale was killed Monday morning near Hewitt's Crossing when he jumped from a car to avoid a collision with passing section trains. He died instantly from a fractured skull. Doolittle, a clerk with the Carbondale company stores, was en route to Mineral for supplies.
