Five local Alpha Lambda members of the Delta Kappa Gamma honorary teachers' group attended the annual area workshop at Muskingum College. Attendees include Mrs. Clayton Smith, Miss Beulah Sellers, Mrs. Elmer Davis and Laura Pauline, Mrs. Eleanor Fugate, and Miss Kathleen McAfee. Nearly 200 DEG members heard Miss Margaret Boyd discuss a Beirut University seminar.

Anniversary is Observed by the Kimmeys at The Plains
Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Kimmey celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on August 25 at The Plains. They have two daughters Esta Allen of The Plains and Freda Perry of Athens, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Guest David A. Allen visited with them while her husband served on the USS John F. Kennedy during acceptance trials. The Allens have since returned to Newport News Virginia after a weekend visit.
