Youngest Son of Village Chief Tortured by Viet Cong Exposed
U S soldiers from the 1st Division halted a Viet Cong mistreatment session in Plei Bon village 15 miles east of Pleiku in the Central Highlands. They found the village chief's youngest son executed, his wife mutilated, and two Montagnard women wounded while FACED with pressure to reveal government supporters. The Montagnard strike force fled as American troops arrived by helicopter and Viet Cong fled into the hills.

COLUMBUS The state failed to force the return of Joey Naples to prison. U S District Judge Mell G Underwood ruled Saxbe did not prove grounds to set aside Naples 1 10 year sentence for receiving stolen property. The ruling was not final and an appeal to the Sixth Circuit was expected.
