Dayton Ohio AP reports 479 members of the Fraternal Order of Police vote tonight on a multi year contract after marathon bargaining. The negotiation team urges acceptance as officers seek wage and fringe increases and a retroactive start date to March 1.
Actor Sebastian Cabot died early today of a stroke at his home in Victoria Canada. Born in London England he moved to the United States in 1955 with his wife and family. He appeared in films including Terror in a Texas Town The Time Machine and The Family Jewels and in the TV series Checkmate from 1959 to 1962. Cabot was best known as the bearded British butler in Family Affair. He is survived by his wife two daughters and a son.
