Heroic act of B. and C. fireman saves child on freight
Fireman James Connelly of Graf ton risked his life to rescue a child from a passing Baltimore and Ohio through freight near Kanawha on Saturday. He climbed from the pilot to seize the child as engineer Brown braked hard, saving its life though the youngster was briefly knocked unconscious. The child later recovered and both men received praise for their actions.
