Couple Dies in Crash Near Findlay Ohio

An elderly man and woman were killed in a two car collision about seven miles northeast of Findlay. The victims were identified as Ben Hissong, 70, of Benton Ridge and Lillian Weyer, 62, of Findlay.

Lattimore Faces Indictments for Perjury Returns

U.S. Attorney Leo A. Rover announced a new perjury indictment plan against Owen Lattimore. The 1952 grand jury had charged seven counts. two were thrown out as vague, and the government intends to present new evidence to a Sept. 13 grand jury to possibly add charges. If added, these would be consolidated with the five remaining counts for trial.

U.S. Orders Major Korean Ground Forces Withdrawal

The United States will pull two thirds of its ground strength from Korea in the coming months as part of a new defense strategy. Three Die In Fiery Plane Crash At Cox Airport

A twin engine plane crashed near Cox Municipal Airport in Vandalia killing three men. Pilot John Shockley 32 of Muncie Indiana and radio technicians Dale Hecker 28 of Venga and Kenneth Lee Carroll 24 of Mt. Vernon were aboard.
