Businessman vows rebuild after Xenia store fire
Xenia Ohio businessman Mitchell Singer pledges to reopen after a Monday fire destroyed his women’s apparel shop and damaged two other buildings in the downtown area. Firefighters battled to contain flames that spread from an upstairs storage area, with two firefighters treated for smoke inhalation. The blaze followed scars from a 1974 tornado that killed 33 and injured 2,000. Singer, who lost his wife four months prior, said he will reopen somewhere if not at this location.
