Skyline Rising in Athens Public Theatre Building
Channel 20’s new home on College Street grows as 500 tons of steel rise. Curt Formyduval notes two 23 ton girders in place, building reaches 111 feet with a 160 foot boom lifting beams. Crews of 35 daily pour 1500 yards of concrete and bolt 53 kegs since February. The seven story project costs 41 million dollars with completion set for late fall 1969.
