Flamingo book by Athens County native Caitlin Kight

Athens County native Caitlin Kight writes Flamino a study of the flamingo in natural and cultural history released this June. Based in Marietta Bird Watcher's Digest sparked the project and Kight sought the chance after reviewing bird books. She pivoted from robins and nightingales to flamingos, drawn by their lesser literature and mystery. She relied on experts for the cultural content and sourced images through permissions and gifts, a process both stressful and rewarding. Kight resides in Cornwall United Kingdom and works at University of Exeter. More at CaitlinKight.com.
