In Nelsonville on August 15 article notes St Patrick's Church women to hold three board parties on August 2 August 27 and September 3 with prizes at each event. The September 3 gathering will tally scores from all three for an extra prize to the top scorer.
Red Newman of Walbridge visiting Nelsonville with a notable baseball trophy collection. Former St Louis Cards manager Tilly Southworth presented a glove from last World Series and several autographed baseballs by stars like Southworth Frank House Frankie Wrisch Andy High. John Bigham of Dayton reported Clyde Schall ran away with Brehat as step-daughter. Officers found a still and mash under the house after searching the Kimberly area home. Clyde Schall arraigned for possessing moonshine gear, pleaded not guilty, bond set at 500. Bigham pleaded guilty to failure to file a bill of sale, fined 100 dollars and costs, jailed awaiting settlement.

The Woman's Home Missionary Society of the M. E. Church will meet Friday evening at 7 o'clock at the home of Mrs. A. A. Whitmore 64 East Franklin Street. Mrs Elizabeth Davis and Mrs J B Davie will assist as hostesses.

Nelsonville Aug 15 Lewis Wend shows the skin of a rattlesnake killed on the Calle farm above Netgonville. The snake measured about 4 feet long and had nine rattles with the button attached to the skin.
Miss Lavilie Scott hosted a Tuesday evening gathering on Madison Street honoring guests including Miss Mabel England Taplin and Miss Ermine Sweary Murray City for Sweary’s sixteenth birthday. Other attendees listed include Miss Kathryn Hall Columbus and several local residents.
Miss Jo Barnicut and Miss Ruth Backus hosted a bridge evening at six West Columbus Street with five tables. Out of town guest Miss Mary Deely from Mt Vernon attended. High scores went to Miss Louise Levihon and Miss Rebecca Sharp while Miss Margaret Scat took low and a guest prize was awarded to Miss Deeiv.
Buckeyes beat Stratton Motors 8 to 6 as Woodson and Woodsen lead with timely singles and a pivotal seventh inning rally. Neo mans double and Woodson single sparked a 3 run surge in the seventh to seal the comeback after Stratton Motors briefly led in the fourth and fifth. The win tightens the race with upcoming games against the Athenae and Mac Chevrolets.
