Gallipolis Celebration Fund Not Qualified Says Holzer
Gallipolis faces a federal grant for sesquicentennial celebration that Dr. C E Holzer says is unfounded. No conditions to the grant exist beyond a local moral duty to support the event, with a fall meeting planned to organize and a spring start for public relations. The board will consider plans for Gallipolis most important event, while local citizens propose ideas. Miss Marie Harvey of Gallipolis is working on an historical novel set in 1790. High school staff, including Ruth Miller Catherine Morrison and Anna Bradbury, will direct pageantry efforts based on prior acclaimed productions.
