Logan Sees Dry-Weather Effects on Area Corn Crop
County agricultural agent Charles Ingraham reports the Hocking County growing season remains solid with proper care and fertilization despite nearby drought. He urges lime on dry soil, 0-20-20 fertilizer for meadows and pastures, and notes hillside farming and a strong wheat crop that could rival corn in feeding value. Home grown peaches should hit markets in three to four weeks.
