Nelsonville Selles Bros. Circus will perform at the Baird lot Fulton Street Monday at 8 15 p m under the Band Boosters Club sponsorship. The program features 20 acts with aerialists clowns trained dogs ponies horses and educated animals. The show is billed as a good clean family event with no games of chance.
Translation and review of Dr Julian M Goodmans 1949 article on ultra violet radiation air conditioning and air sterility in closed surgery appears in the March 1950 Central Journal for General Surgery and Allied Sciences Berlin. Nelsonville social notes report Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Matheny of 660 Chestnut St hosted a Sunday chicken dinner in honor of their son Richard who departs for Fort Hayes Columbus to enlist in the Army Air Force. Guests included Albert and Florence Dobbins Lewis Marsh Joe Matheny and others. Dr. Richard Zollinger and Dr. Luke Zartman were recent visitors. Zollinger is clinical professor of surgery at the University College of Medicine and Zartman chief of staff at St. Francis Hospital.
Admitted include Mrs. Eliaur Rutter of Nelsonville and Mrs. William Tacket from Nelsonville with Miss Barbara Barnes of Gore and Mrs. George A Hartley of Nelsonville and Mrs. Leo Hughes of New Lexington. Discharges include Ralph Arnold of New Marshfield George A Sims of Nelsonville and Floyd Stump of Logan.
The Nelsonville Kill Eagle Tribe of Red Men will host a dancing event Saturday at 9 p m in the Buckeye Building hall. A local orchestra provides music for Red Men former members and guests attending.

The Nelsonville community hosts a pre social and square dance planned by the Hamley Run Round Towners 4-H club. It will be held Saturday evening at the Clarence Robinson residence on Route 691 near Poston Station with public invitation.

Mrs Beatrice Nelson Rutter 36 died Thursday at Mount St Mary Hospital after being admitted the night before. Wife of Elmer Rutter of Railroad Street and mother of ten children Geraldine Elmer Evelyn Lucille Ray Mary Edith Larry Bennis Loretta. Survived by father James Nelson Logan five brothers Harrison Robert James Jr Frederick William Chauncey and sister Mrs Betty Lyons Chauncey. Funeral Sunday at 2 p m at home on Railroad Street with burial in Salem Cemetery.

The Shelton Missionary Society of the Trimble Church of Christ held its annual picnic, moved to the church social rooms due to rain. Glouster young people plan a luncheon and vesper service with guests from the Hemlock Church of Christ at 5 45 p m in the church.
The Glouster First Baptist Church will sponsor a benefit chicken plate lunch in the church social rooms starting Monday at 6 p m Tickets are obtainable from Mrs Glady Viney.
