Lessons in Bridge by usuany saCOB

Wishful thinking colors today's bridge hand as Mickey Miller of Toronto finds a winning line tied to a single distribution. He suspects West's double rests on the queen of trumps and plays to force West to lead away from a pair of kings, aiming for a 13 heart break to yield four hearts and four trumps plus aces, with South needing a last ruff to reach eleven tricks.

Bridge hand analysis by Miller seals victory in spade play

The text outlines a detailed bridge play where Miller wins the first trick with the ace of hearts and discards a club on the king of hearts. He ruffs a heart, avoids a second discard, then cashes two top spades, forcing West to lead away from a king. The remainder proceeds as planned, with dummy cards listed North to South and the sequence of bids and plays ending in a decisive contract.
