More than 100 clothing items were modeled by junior fair participants at Pomeroy Junior High School as elimination contests set the stage for the Meigs County fair. Narrators Donna Hildare and Mary Grace Stobart led the style revue preparing youths for the August 16 showcase with diverse garments including skirts blouses lounging wear cotton dresses and tailored outfits.

Court Rejects Second Move Against Judge Reicher
The Ohio Supreme Court denied a second affidavit seeking removal of Judge Carlos Reicher from the Meigs County freezer salesmen cases. Prosecutor James B. O'Brien filed bias affidavits twice. court said the filings were not reasonably made as required by law. The cases involve two salesmen from a Marietta area firm accused of obtaining signatures by false pretenses.

POMEROY Mrs. Clara Allis Koehler 79 longtime Pomeroy resident died Thursday at Meigs General Hospital after a lingering illness. She was the widow of Edward Koehler who died in 1938. Survivors include her twin sister Nellie Dawson of Pomeroy, sister Bertha Allis Myers of Middleport, brother Terry Allis of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p.m. Saturday at Ewing funeral home with Rev. Waldo J. Bartels officiating, burial Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at any time.
