Nixon Lawyers Challenge Court Authority in Tape Subpoena

Lawyers for President Nixon argued in federal court there is no jurisdiction to enforce the Cox subpoena for White House tape recordings. Second U S bombing kills civilians near Phnom Penh

In Cambodia a U S F111 bombing on a government island southeast of Phnom Penh killed four civilians and injured 13, while the Neak Luong base town bombings raised the toll to 137 dead and 268 wounded. The overall U S airstrike near Phnom Penh continued despite the tragedy.
