Clarence Edward Oiler, 28, of Pomeroy Route 3, faces arson charges in Meigs County Court. He allegedly set fire to the Old Log Cabin Inn two miles south of Middleport on State Route 7 after a Wednesday report. Oiler confessed during questioning at the London Correctional Institute after polygraph tests. The blaze followed a long dispute with purchaser Hansel Brown, who held land contracts with Dr Donald Warehime. No insurance covered the building.
