Middleport Officials Back Proposed Route Change on Route 7
Middleport council supports a one way conversion for State Route 7 through the business district to improve safety. The plan would reroute traffic from Mill Street to Locust Street and back via S Second to North Second Avenue, requiring state highway approval. Councils note past plans to shift Route 7 and say clearance from Marietta and Columbus offices caused the delay.
