Logan-McArthur road section A4 contract set for August
County engineer H W Nixon announces the Logan to McArthur road improvement will be let in Columbus on August 15. The unimproved intercounty highway in Hocking County spans about a mile from the Logan water works area southwest to the already improved road. Estimated cost around 40000 dollars, with one third paid by the county. Bids for reinforced concrete and brick on concrete are requested. The survey aims to reduce sharp curves along this stretch. Ninety Years of Hocking Valley Service for Two Men
C. W. Schwenke of Logan and W. M. Deeds of Columbus are honored for ninety years of service to the Hocking Valley railroad. Schwenke has 51 years with the company and 49 years as Logan agent, while Deeds has 20 years as train master in the southern division. Both men were born in Sugar Grove and remained close colleagues and friends. A fifty year service medal was awarded Schwenke last year. he lives in Logan with the Mitler family.

Logan man fined after traffic chase on Logan Nelsonville road
