Milliron files suit to quiet title on W Union Street station site
Earl A. Millican, owner of a filling station on W Union Street near the river, petitions Athens County Common Pleas Court to compel the City of Athens to disclose its claimed interest in the land. He states his family has owned title since 1854 and built the station in 1931. The dispute arose as a WPA riverbank park project and curb work blocked access to the business. Mayor Len B. McCune is to be served with process.
