Langley McCallister Dies by Shotgun Suicide in Mason County
Langley McCallister, 61, shot himself with a 12 gauge shotgun near the heart at about 7 am in Mason County. His wife, Mrs. McCallister, told Sheriff F A Morrison and Deputy T L Morrison that he ate breakfast, left, returned, and used a twig to trigger the weapon. The family moved last March from Hurricane Putnam County to the William Morgan farm on Route 17. Surviving are Mrs. McCallister and 12 children from two marriages. The body was taken to a Hurricane funeral home.
