Shorter Plan For Revision Of City Charter Explained
City Attorney Ray Musgrave announced a second, partial charter revision plan. The proposal allows only part changes with a public hearing, an objection triggers a vote, and the council may extend mayor and clerk terms from two to four years with higher pay. The committee advocates a standing charter panel, a part time secretary, monthly progress reports, and a four month target.
