Mounties Or Nurse Debated By Anxious High Schooler
Dear Abby fielded a letter from Virginia, a senior who plans to become a nurse and hopes to marry a Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman, seeking advice on meeting one and pursuing her goals. The column weighs in with practical steps, including earning RN credentials and considering Canada employment. In another note, a widow in Wallingford, Kentucky, recounts a turning point with a longtime friend who proposed a diamond while they agreed to be only friends, while Abby hints at his real intent.
