Ohio State to train Peace Corps volunteers in Punjab India

Congressman Walter H. Moeller said Ohio State University will train 25 Peace Corps volunteers for agricultural work in Punjab India. He added Ohio University could later serve as a training point and that Sargent Shriver promised serious consideration of using Ohio U facilities for other program phases. Poison fumes force 10000 from homes along Illinois River

About 10 000 residents in Peoria and nearby towns evacuated for several hours after a coupling broke during ammonia transfer from a barge to a dockside tank on the Illinois River. State police reported 19 hospitalizations before the all clear was issued and residents returned home after more than four hours.
