Pitfalls A Sequel to Marriage M
A tense scene unfolds as a young gangster coerces retrieval of a gun and bags. The narrator, facing threats, manipulates a bag while weighing decisive action. The criminal orders careful packing, warning that appearances matter if trouble comes through. The exchange ends with a chilling implication of looming danger.
Of Love dlers by Adele Garrison in Mercy of Obey Commands
The excerpt shows Madge Graham planning to flee with a traveling bag as a gangster pressures her to write a memorized letter. A tense scene unfolds with a portfolio, folded clothes, and a militant command while flashlights go out, hinting at danger and Carolyn’s possible connection to Mason. Continuous tension signals noir melodrama.
