Albany News Roundup From W C Silvey To Local Accidents

Albany items report Mike Barker of Athens visiting W C Silvey and family. Mrs Swaim and granddaughter of Marshfield spent Sunday with J C P Moore’s family. A son was born to Mr and Mrs J C Cooper. Mrs L C Hill of Middleport visited her parents, the Springs. Dora Pidcock and wife from near Athens spent Sunday in Albany. Mrs M C Scott has been ill with malarial fever. Vorhes builds a barn on Railroad street with Curt Brooks overseeing. J P Wood and family of Athens spent Sunday in Albany. Dan Marsh, hurt on Andrew Wilson’s farm, was dragged by a field roller and sustained a severe scalp wound and a badly injured arm. Dr A F Holmes reports patient improving.

Local notices of deaths marriages and births in Frost county

Died at his Beebe home on the first of the month Joseph Frost aged 63 from inflammation of stomach and lungs. His funeral, held the twenty second, drew many local citizens. The infant son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Davis Frost died of lung fever. Dell Barrows wed Miss Belle Smith on the fifteenth at home by J P Died. Nurse Mrs Tos t noted for temperance work and generosity in the county. Fruit and wheat crops show promise as farmers push work along the line.

Appointment of George Currier as Central Insane Asylum Steward

The former popular townsman George Currier has been named Steward of the Central Insane Asylum at Columbus. Friends at home and afar expect him to handle the duties with intelligence, efficiency, and fidelity. Also described is a new muslin bonnet style called the kiss me quick, purportedly originating in Missouri, available in white, pink, and blue, praised for its charm despite a grandmother night cap look.
