Ohio killings linked to rural crime spree and marijuana findings
Four days after eight people were killed in rural Ohio a prosecutor said marijuana was found at some of the sites. Dana Rhodes and three children died with other relatives in a tragedy that touched a local school district as officials struggle to explain motives and connections.

Miss Ohio 2015 Sarah Hider urges Chi Omega sisters to be fearless
Wooster native Sarah Hider spoke to more than 110 Chi Omega Tau Alpha members at the OSU event, recounting early fears of singing and choosing baton twirling. She detailed her path from Mansfield pageants to Miss Ohio, her Ohio University journalism degree, a hiatus, and final win with talent singing Almost Like Being in Love. She plans to relinquish the crown June 18 and begin graduate study at Kent State University in June.

Hazardous waste disposal program may expand countywide
After a successful Saturday drop-off at Athens Community Center sponsored by the city and Athens Two, plans aim to widen household hazardous waste disposal. More than 360 residents, mainly city dwellers, used the event to discard items such as paint, batteries, pool chemicals, weedkiller, and kerosene. The effort, led by Roger Bail, could extend to Hocking County with funding by the solid waste district, with future events planned in October and next year.
