Concert Set By OU Band Thursday
The Ohio University Symphonic Band directed by Charles Gilbert will perform Thursday at 8 p.m. in Middleport High School Auditorium. Guest conductor Dr. Thomas Gorton leads Variations and Fugue on a Welsh Folk Tune with Miss Jane Armstrong on Heckelphone, plus Handel and Gershwin vocal numbers by Robert Luecke. Ticket sales were handled by Junior and Senior Band members.

Funeral Rites Held For Vaughan Infant
Funeral services for Michael Bruce Vaughan four day old son of Mr and Mrs Robert Vaughan were held at Ewing funeral home at 11 AM. Interment followed in Beech Grove cemetery. Fire Department First Aid Squad was summoned to save the child but the call was cancelled after death at Meigs General Hospital.
